My walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Marine Pvt William Cordell Allen Jr, Age 19 of Sparta, TN.
KIA in Vietnam on June 24, 1967
William was assigned to H Company, 2nd battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Hardiv., III MAF
He was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign medals
He can be found on the wall at Panel 22E, Line 56 , He is burried at Black Oak Cemetery, White County, TN.
Had a great 10 mile walk today. I want to thank you for all the honks, and waves in helping me honor this hero from Sparta. Thank you so much.
