UNDERWOOD, BUDDY LEE 74, of Pleasant Hill, TN passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005 at his home. Buddy was born March 8, 1931 in Marion, IN. He was a Christian and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a devoted and faithful husband and a wonderful father, respected and loved by all of his children. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Navy for 25 years. He served in VP Squadrons with P3 Aircraft and also in several HS Squadrons (Helicopters). He was stationed on board the USS America completing several Mediterranean cruises. He also served on board USS Enterprise doing her maiden voyage (world cruise). He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the military he went to work for Tario, LLC where he played an instrumental part in the construction of the Navy Tactical Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA
Had a wonderful walk to Pleasant Hill this morning. I want to thank everyone for the honks and waves in helping me honor this hero. You all are amazing. Thank You
