My walk today was dedicated in honor of :

Army Sgt. 1st Class Dennis R. Murray, Age 38 of Red Boiling Springs, TN.
KIA Nov. 21, 2011 During Operation Enduring Freedom
Murrary was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS
He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery in Section 60, Site 10306

SFC Murray graduated from Hermitage Springs School in 1991. He joined the Army in September 1991. He reported to Fort Riley in February 2011 this year and deployed in April. He served as an armored crew member.

Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters
Korea Defense Service Medal
Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars

We had a great 6 mile walk today. We walked to the Crossville City Cemetery and visited several veterans. We stopped at the war memorials down town. It was a great walk. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. You all are amazing.
