Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:

Marine Corps PFC Harry Don Rash, Age 20 of Herrin, IL.
KIA Jan. 20, 1967 Vietnam

PFC Rash is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 14E, Line 59
He is buried at Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin,IL.

PFC Rash enlisted with the Marines in St. Louis, Missouri on Apr. 14, 1965.

Pfc. Rash was killed in action by an explosive device on Jan. 20, 1967 while serving as a Rifleman with Co. G of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.

His Awards include: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.

We had a great 6.48 Mile walk today. We visited the city cemetery and stopped by the memorial park down town Crossville. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with me today and I want to thank those who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero.

Marine Corps PFC Harry Don Rash will not be forgotten !
