Today we had the honor of walking with:
Marine CPL Michael Brandon Presley, Age 21 of Batesville, MS.
KIA Dec. 14, 2005 Operation Iraqi Freedom
CPL Presley was assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
He died at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, of wounds sustained Dec. 12 from a suicide, vehicle-borne IED while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Fallujah, Iraq.
He was awarded the purple heart
He is buried in the Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville, MS.
We had a great 6.69 Mile walk today. We walked to the 9/11 Memorial and then headed down town to the War Memorial Park and then back home. What a beautiful day for a walk. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us and I want to thank all those that honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this great hero. We had 206 Honks today. Thank You.
