Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Tony Cumbus, Age 47 of Hahira, GA.
Died Aug. 12, 2023
Tony was born in Ocala, FL on Dec. 4, 1975. Tony served in the United States Army. He did 2 tours to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) with the 3rd Infantry Division during the invasion of Iraq. He also did 2 tours to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. Tony enjoyed riding motorcycles, and especially loved working on trucks with his daddy. He loved spending time with his family and kids, enjoying life.
He will be missed by many.
We had a great 9.64 Mile walk this morning. We walked out Northside Drive and then walked over by Walmart. We then made a stop in the Centennial Park. We then headed back toward the house. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us and I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and Saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 148 honks this morning. Thank you.
