Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Marine PFC Kent Robert Bolter, Age 18 of Manistee, MI.
KIA Apr. 20, 1968
He served with Company M, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.
PFC Bolter was killed in action when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered.
He received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He is honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 51E, Line 5.
We had a great 6.14 Mile walk today. We walked up to the War Memorial Park down town and back. The weather was perfect. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. We had 142 honks. It was amazing. Thank You.
