My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of :

Marine Lance Cpl. Franklin N. Watson, Age 21 of Vonore, TN.
Was KIA Sept. 24, 2011 in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Franklin was born in Sweetwater, TN.
He was assigned to the 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, Knoxville, TN.
Franklin was a 2008 graduate and star athlete of Sequoyah High School and resident of Vonore, TN. He was also a 2009 graduate of the Cleveland State Police Academy and attended college there to study Criminal Justice. He was employed at the Madisonville Police Department and he began his law enforcement career as a part time deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. Frankie Watson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 2010. As both a U.S. Marine and a law enforcement officer.

I want to thank everyone who help me honor this hero this morning. We had many honks and waves. It was an amazing walk. I did have one young lady give me a not so nice gesture this morning but I just raised my flag a little higher. We shall keep their memories alive.. I also reached the 500 miles mark on this walk.
