Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Thomas Terrell Ball, Age 82 of Ten Mile, TN.
Died Aug. 23, 1924
Confederate Soldier in the Civil War with the 5th Tenn. Cavalry, Co B.
His Calvary patrol was in retreat, his horse was shot from underneath him throwing him & dislocated his left elbow. He wasn’t able to have it fixed before it grew back together wrong causing him to loose the use of his arm..
It was an honor to walk 6.31 Miles with Army Veteran Thomas Terrell Ball. We started out by walking by Holiday Hills Lake and then we walked by Garrison Park on our way to the Veteran Memorial Park down town. We then headed to the 1st United Methodist Church to meet with MS Senior Cumberland County ladies for their kick off of the 2024 Veterans Food Drive. It was great getting to meet everyone. We then walked 127 and turned at Flowers Bakery and headed back to the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted. It was amazing. We had 145 honks today. Thank you.
Army Veteran Thomas Terrell Ball will not be forgotten !
