Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army National Guard Veteran Raymond K. French, Age 88 of Waveland, IN.
Died Sep. 10, 2023
He was born in New Ross on February 18, 1935 to the late Ralph & Alleen (Morrison) French.
Raymond proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He married the love of his life, Carole Beasley, on March 6, 1981, she survives. He was a machinist at California Pallett Mill for his entire career, retiring in 2000. He loved golfing, and enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and drives in the country.
We had a great 7.22 Mile walk today. Our first stop was the War Memorial Park down town and then we headed to the Crossville City Cemetery where we visited a few of our Fallen Brothers. We then made a stop in at Family Ties for breakfast. We then made a stop in at the Army National Guard and then stopped in at the Disabled American Veterans before heading home. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. We had 119 honks. It was amazing. Thank you.
Army National Guard Veteran Raymond K. French will not be forgotten !
