Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC General Hayes, Age 44 of Ozone, TN.
Died Jul. 18, 1935
PFC Hayes was a World War One Veteran and died in a government hospital in San Francisco, CA. He was brought home on a trian and is buried in the Dogwood Cemetery, Cumberland County, TN.
We had a great 7.93 Mile walk. We walked out in the country and stopped to see the buffalo and then to 127 and then back towards home. The weather was perfect. It was sunny and short sleeve weather. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all those who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing. We had 221 honks today. Thank you !
