My walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army PSGT William Alford Ferrell, Age 38 of Stanton, TN.
KIA Nov. 17, 1965 Vietnam

He is remembered on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on panel 3E, Line 76
William is buried at Ft Benning Post Cemetery.

Sergeant First Class William Alford Ferrell, Served with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, United States Army

He had served 16 years.
Platoon sgt Ferrell served in WW2 and Korea also.

PSGT Alford Ferrell was KIA during an ambush at LX Albany in IA Drank Valley along with 151 of his soldiers who he was leading into battle.

PSGT Ferrell was awarded: Purple Heart, Good Conduct, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign medals.

We had an amazing 9.36 Mile walk today. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank everyone that honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We walked around Holiday Hills Lake today enjoying the beautiful views.

Army PSGT William Alford Ferrell will not be forgotten !
