Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Air Force A1C Michael Mahony, Age 22 of The Woodlands, TX.
Died Dec. 25, 2018

He served with the 48th Maintenance Group, 48th Component Maintenance Squadron at Royal Air Force Lakenheath

died of his injuries after a motorcycle accident in Suffolk, England

Michael made an immediate and long lasting impact on the propulsion flight and all those he worked with. His greatest impact is the love, care and friendship he offered to all those he came into contact with.

He is buried in the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX.

We had a great 9.41 Mile walk today. We started out by walking by Lake Holiday and then stopped by CCHS and then went out Miller Bypass and came back up Main Street and stopped at the War Memorial Park. We then continued North and then stopped by the 9/11 Memorial before heading back home. We had a great walk and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 181 Honks today. It was amazing. Thank You.

Air Force A1C Michael Mahony will not be forgotten !

  1. Thank you! What a beautiful way to honor a wonderful young man. As his Aunt it means so much to have him remembered and honored in this way.❤️

  2. Still hard to believe this. We used to be neighbors back in Huffman, TX. I remember always coming over and jumping on your trampoline with you and you sisters. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone else who was always laughing and as happy as you were! My thoughts go out to you and your family!
