My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of:

Navy GMG3 Charles Wayne Clinard, Age 21 of Maysfield, TX.
KIA Oct. 1, 1972
He served abord the USS Newport News, Task Force 77 (TF-77), 7th Fleet.
19 other shipmates lost their lives also when a defective projectile tore through the inside of Turret II.

His awards include Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign Medals
He was buried in Marlow Cemetery, outside of Cameron, TX.
He is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington, DC. on Panel 01w-row 077

We had a great 9.86 mile walk this morning. I want to thank Robert Batz for walking with me and I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. It was an amazing walk.

He will NOT be forgotten !
