My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran PFC James Elmo Roberts, Age 85 of Crossville, TN.
Died Oct. 3, 1992
James was a World War II Veteran. He was very proud to serve our country.
He was a father of 4. 3 girls 1 boy and another son who died day after he was born.
He has 12 Grandchildren.
He is buried in the Pomona Cemetery
We had a great 7.92 Mile walk today. We walked to his grave in the Pomona Cemetery to honor him. We got to meet some of his family. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us and I also want to thank all those who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 106 Honks. It was amazing.
Army Veteran PFC James Elmo Roberts will not be forgotten !
I remember my Dear Uncle Elmore, I remember when he came home from the Army, He had come to visit his Mother &Dad, & I was there when he came.
I was proud of my Uncle. Thank you for honoring him. He was an honorable man.
Loved him and his family. MY cousins. Jean, John, Betty and Anna Marie. God bless you all.

Thank you so much for honoring my grandfather and. all veterans.
It was an honor to meet you.He was a very kind and loving man.
My aunt.was telling me at the cemetery about how hard they had it during the war with rationing etc.I guess I just did not realize how much the family sacrifices too.
Pa went on to work at the prisoner of war camp after he served in France.
Thanks again and have a great day!
