Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army 1LT Larry Don Earls, Age 28 of Murfreesboro, TN.
KIA Jan 2, 1967 Vietnam

Vietnam War Officer. He was from Tennessee and served as a 1st Lieutenant with the 502nd United States Infantry in Company A. He was in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division and received the Silver Star for his efforts in battle. He was killed in action while serving in Vietnam.

Larry is buried at Stones River National Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN.
Section Q, grave 6733

He is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 13E, Line 108.

We had a great 2.53 Mile walk today. We walked in the Stones River National Cemetery to his grave and honored him then we walked among the over 6,000 graves of fallen soldiers. Over 2,300 of them were unknown soldiers. We then walked along the battlefield where many of these soldiers died. You really get the feeling of what happened here so many years ago. I want to thank Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. We had 8 honks. This will be something I will never forget. If you ever get a chance to visit this place, Do so. Thank you.

Army 1LT Larry Don Earls will not be forgotten !
