Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army WWII Veteran PVT Samuel Thomas Griffin , Age 93 Of Sparta, TN.
Died Nov. 12, 2019
He was in the 92nd infantry
Had an amazing walk today. It was a little cold out but it felt really great to be out in it today. Even had a little fall and got my feet wet a little. Turned out to be a really great walk. I want to thank everyone that honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will NOT be forgotten.
As I’m sitting here with tears rolling down my face, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for you walking in honor of my pa. I’m not sure if you knew him personally but he was one amazing man and he would give ANYONE the shirt off his back. He was a hero to many. Especially in my eyes. As the holidays are coming up it’s been hard realizing he won’t be here with us this year but then I stumble onto this article and see where you walked for him. By the grace of god I needed to see this today as I already have had moments today where I miss him so much. Thank you for what you do and have done not only for my family but the others along the way.
