My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Navy Veteran Buck Ferguson, Age 74 of Colfax, IN.
Died July 31, 2012
Buck attended Colfax High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, completing three tours of duty, and retired from the Navy after 20 years of service in 1974. He was employed by Shoestring Inc. from 1976 to 1991 and then worked for Piemonte Foods. He was a four-time post commander of the Colfax American Legion where he was a member of the 40&8. He was also a member of the VFW.
We had a great 8.45 mile walk today. We walked to the war memorial park down town and then we went and visited some of our brothers and sisters in arms in the Crossville, City Cemetery. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.
Navy Veteran Buck Ferguson will not be forgotten !
