Chief Machinery Repairman Willy Scott Baker, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal (Posthumously) for heroism while helping his shipmates escape from capsized Patrol Craft Fast SEVENTY-SEVEN (PCF-77), at the entrance of Thuan An River at Hue, Republic of Vietnam, on 15 November 1966.

CPO Baker was awarded: Good Conduct, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign Medals.

We had a great 9.32 Mile walk. We walked to the War Memorial Park down town and then to 127 north and we walked the the beautiful The Gardens. The weather was just wonderful. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted. Thank you for helping me honor this hero. We had 124 Honks. It was amazing.

Navy MRC Willy Scott Baker will not be forgotten !
