My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of:

Army SP4 Lynn Carol Hayes, Age 19 of Crossville, TN
KIA on May 17, 1967 Vietnam
He was assigned to B Company, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 4th Infantry Division.
They were participating in a search and destroy mission though heavily jungled area when they were ambushed by the enemy. We lost 7 U.S. troops and 11 wounded during that battle.
Lynn was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign Medals.
Lynn is burried at the Grassy-cove Methodist Church Cemetery.
The day that he died his nice ( Debbie Price Clouse ) was born.

My walk this morning was amazing. I want to thank everyone for their honks and waves in helping me honor this Vietnam War Hero. I also want to thank Shelia Price for the info and it was nice meeting you and your granddaughter this morning their at the War Memorials downtown. It was an honor to walk 5.58 Miles this morning for Lynn.

He will not be forgotten.
