Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Spc. Christopher J. Scott, Age 21 of Tyrone, NY.
KIA Sep. 3, 2011 Operation Enduring Freedom
The 21-year-old military police officer was killed Sept. 3 while on patrol — just two months after leaving for his first tour overseas.
He was assigned to 716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
He died Sep. 3, 2011 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.
Scott was a 2009 graduate of Dundee Junior and Senior High School and the oldest of three sons.
We had an amazing 10.16 Mile walk this morning. We walked down Sparta Hwy and out in the country. The Fog was so bad we could not take any photo’s till later in the walk. We then walked up 127 to up town and stopped by the War memorial Park and then we stopped by Police Headquarters since Chris was a military policeman. We then walked back towards CCHS and then West Ave and back to Sparta Hwy. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us this morning. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero this morning. We had an amazing 237 honks this morning.
Army Spc. Christopher J. Scott will not be forgotten !
