Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:

Army PFC Selena Roth, Age 25 of Spring Hill,FL.
Died Jan. 13, 2021

She was a former Army signals intelligence analyst.
Served during the Persian Gulf War

Roth was an “avid supporter of animal rescue” and “a generous spirit and provided for anyone in need in her community.

Roth received an associate of arts degree while still in high school, from which she graduated Phi Theta Kappa.

She was active in numerous sports and had earned the title of concert mistress of the Hernando County Youth Orchestra in the Florida community in which she was raised.

“During her time in the service, she was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon,”

She was found slain at her on-post home in Hawaii.

We had a great 10.34 mile walk today. We walked by Holiday Hills Lake and watched the geese a little before heading to town to the War Memorial Park. We spent some time their reading names on the Memorial Wall and walking in the park. We then headed North on 127 until we reached Northside Drive and headed toward Sparta Hwy. What a beautiful day we had to walk. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 267 honks today. Thank you.

Army PFC Selena Roth will not be forgotten !
