Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army SSGT Alex Lawson, Age 32 of Chattanooga, TN.
Died Mar. 13, 2019
Alex was an avid paintball player, having started several teams. He played in tournaments all across the United States. He played for the University of Tennessee and was on a team at Ft. Bragg.
Alex was always for the underdog. He was a rescuer of animals and people. His heart was huge.
Alex was a great cook and really enjoyed the home he had purchased for himself in Chattanooga.
Alex LOVED his Tennessee VOLS.
We had a great 6.67 Mile walk today. The cold weather wasn’t going to stop us from having a great walk this morning. We stopped by to see the flag at the Flowers Bakery and then we headed to the Crossville City Cemetery to visit several of our Fallen Brothers. We then headed up town to the War Memorial Park. Before heading home we stopped by the Train Depot. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 186 honks this morning. I want to thank the Grinder House and Mitchell’s Drug Store for flying our beautiful colors.
Army SSGT Alex Lawson will not be forgotten !
