My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of:
Army CPL Gordon Allen Shaw , Age 21 of Auburn, IN.
KIA May 13, 1970 Vietnam
He was drafted into the Army. Entered via Selective Service.He began his tour on February 28, 1970.
He was a Military Policeman with the 4th Infantry Division, 4th MP Company
Gordon is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, IN.
He is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall on Panel 10W, Line 38
He received the Puple Heart, Combat infantryman Badge, Marksmanship Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, and Army Good Conduct Medal.
We had an amazing 10 mile walk this morning. We walked a few roads that we have not walked before. It was great. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. You all are amazing.
He will NOT be forgotten.
