My walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Air Force Veteran SSGT Zane Roy Grey, Age 54 of Crossville, TN
Died Jan. 23, 2017
He was born Aug. 3, 1962 in Lakeland, FL.
Zane worked as a senior Technical services representative at local government corporation.
He enjoyed working with computers. He loved going cave exploring.
We had an amazing 10.45 Mile walk. It was an honor to meet his family today. I met a homeless Navy Veteran along our walk today. It was great to talk with him and to let him know what we were doing.
I want to thank everyone that honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will NOT be forgotten.
Tim it was great talking to you today. Thank you for taking the time to remember Zane in your walk. He meant alot to everyone around him and he is much missed. All we have left is his memories. He taught us all a lot about everything, and educated us anyway he could, he was a natural teacher. He was someone you could look up too, and know you were getting good advice when asked. He knew right from wrong and would tell you right away, if he thought you were screwing up. I only hope that for what little time everyone got to spend with Zane, that they remember the lessons he taught you. Whether it was something he taught you about a computer or somethin about life. Don’t forget those lessons, and when challenged with new problems try to think what he would tell you. Rest in peace Zane you will never be forgotten!
Thank you Matt, It was an honor to walk with him. We will keep his memory alive.
