My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army SPC Mikayla A. Bragg, Age 21 of Longview, WA.
Died Dec. 21, 2011
SPC Bragg was assigned to the 201st Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Knox, Ky.
Bragg joined the Army after graduating from Mark Morris High School in 2008. She was motivated to earn money to go to college and pursue a field helping people or animals.
she was classified as a sharpshooter with a rifle and was deployed in August as truck driver.
SPC Bragg died in Afghanistan from a gunshot wound while she was in a guard shack.
We had an amazing 5.97 Mile walk this morning. Started off walking by Holiday Hills Lake and then we walked up town to the War Memorial Park. The sun rise was beautiful this morning. I want to thank Express Lunch for flying our beautiful colors. I want to thank all who honked, waved and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 42 honks this morning. Thank You…
Army SPC Mikayla A. Bragg will not be forgotten !
Honoring Mikayla today was very special. She always liked to see people happy and soft hearted. We appreciate that she is remembered and not forgotten.
Thanks so much!!
