Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Marine LCPL Jerrod Lee Warden, Age 20 of Casper, WY.
Died Dec. 14, 2021

LCPL Warden had served in Kuwait and Jordan. He died in an accident at Camp Pendleton, CA.

He served from February 10, 2020 until his death on December 14, 2021. He was amazing always full of laughter. Always smiling. He was a big Momma’s boy and damn proud of it. He was a son, brother, Uncle, boyfriend, friend Marine.

He was a Mortar man and loved blowing stuff up. He was a mentor. Talking his friends through the toughest times in their life.

He encouraged his peers he did a 20k with 2 mortar systems because 1 guy was gonna quit but Jerrod wouldn’t let him. Took his systems and carried it for him

On the reaper guys were ready to give up he picked them up told them they were doing this together

Jerrod loved to play hockey, along with his passion for playing football through his high school years, and also becoming a member of the team that won the first State Championship in wrestling, with the Kelly Walsh Trojans.

Jerrod Joined the United States Marines on February 10, 2020 to fulfill his calling to serve his Country. He had been swiftly promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal through merit in the Marines. Jerrod was serving as a LCpl at the time of his death. He was a Mortar Man and loved doing his job, even training others in the craft. He recently got back from deployment from the Middle East.

Jerrod loved sports, he loved working for the Casper Coyotes and had recently started to enjoy MMA and was planning on pursuing further training in MMA. Most of all Jerrod loved doing anything with his family or his beloved brothers and sisters. After fulfilling his commitment to the United States Marines, Jerrod had planned to further his education through college and pursue a career in law enforcement, while continuing to serve with the Wyoming Air National guard, with one of his beloved brothers.

We had a great 10.79 Mile walk this morning. We walked up Northside Drive and watched the beautiful sun rise. We then made our way down town via some side roads and stopped in at the War Memorial Park before headed back to the house. I want to thank Grinder House for flying our beautiful colors. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 152 honks this morning. It was amazing. Thank You !

Marine LCPL Jerrod Lee Warden will not be forgotten !
