Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Floyd Thomas Andrews, Age 78 of Rockwood, TN.
Died Oct. 8, 2024
He proudly served in the United States Army. Floyd liked to work on cars and machines. For those who knew him, they knew how generous he was and how much he loved children. He would always have a pocket full of goodies for them.
It was an honor to walk 9 miles with Army Veteran Floyd Thomas Andrews. We started are walk this morning around 4am cause we wanted to beat the rain. It was quiet and not much traffic. We walked by Kroger and took West Ave. up through town and we stopped at the Veterans Memorial Park for a min. to honor our Fallen Heroes. We then took 4th street to the west and walked by CCHS and we came back on Stanley Street. We walked up through main street and then turned west again at the Bakery. Once we got to Kroger we walked around the parking lot three times and then we stopped in at the Frost Cemetery to honor some of our Fallen Brothers before heading home. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 109 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you.
