Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Air Force SrA Ollie Joseph Faure, Age 22 of Bossier City, LA.
Died Oct. 22, 2024

Ollie chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. For three years, from 2021 to 2024, he served as an Aircraft Loadmaster, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his responsibilities. Stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Ollie found ways to give back to the community that embraced him, volunteering whenever possible, fueled by his boundless generosity.

Ollie had several interests and hobbies that set him appart from most. He explored robotics, displayed his musical talents by playing the violin, and found immense joy in traveling. Reading and songwriting were not just pastimes for him, they were windows into his creative mind. He also had a love of sports and participated in soccer and basketball with friends.

Gone too soon. He will be dearly missed by many.

It was a great honor to walk 15.31 Miles with Air Force SrA Ollie Joseph Faure today. We started out just as the sun was coming up. We got a mile down the road and the sky let loose. We got a little wet but found a tree to shield the rain off a little. We walked over to the old River Run Golf Course. The rain finally moved on and we got to hear the birds sing. We got to see three deer but they were a little to fast for me to get my camera ready. We did get to see several geese and some wild turkey’s as well. We then headed east on Water View and headed towards town. We made a stop at the Veterans Memorial Park and read several names of our Fallen Brothers. We then headed north and made our turn back west once we reached the Bakery. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 422 honks today. It was amazing. It ended up being a beautiful day and a beautiful walk. Thank you.

Air Force SrA Ollie Joseph Faure will not be forgotten !
