Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Marine CPL Barry M Klibenski, Age 31 of Parma, MI.
Died Jul. 19, 2001
Barry spent 4 years in the Corps. Served in Desert Storm as a Tow gunner. Then served in Somalia. He left a son (who became a Marine as well), a step daughter, a brother, a sister and his mom & pops. Barry was interred with full military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
We had a great 5.35 Mile walk today. The weather wasn’t perfect but we had a great walk. We ran into a few flooded roads and had to make a couple detours but we made it uptown to the War Memorial Park and back home. We had a little rain at the start but dry for the most part. As you can see in the photo , most of the creeks in the area are over their banks. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted today in helping me honor this hero. We had 205 honks. It was amazing. Thank You
Marine CPL Barry M Klibenski will not be forgotten !
Thank you! This means more to me than you’ll ever know.
Salute! Hug to you Shelby. Semper Fidelis Barry. Carry on Brother.
He is gone but never forgotten. As his daughter, I always cherish the good times we had.
Barry was one of the best friends I ever had. I miss you brother.
Simper fi. Rest In Peace
