Today we had the honor of walking with :

Army PFC Paul Balint Jr. Age 22 of Willow Park, TX.
KIA Dec. 15, 2006 Operation Iraqi Freedom

PFC Balint Jr was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany

Pfc. Paul Balint Jr. of Willow Park, Texas, came from a military background and joined up after his family moved from Virginia to Willow Park. He had been in Iraq for three months and had been in the Army for a little more than a year. He loved it, that’s what he wanted to do. Paul was born at Dyess Air Force Base and received his diploma in Centerville, Virginia in 2001, worked for ITA Insulation in Centerville and for Fly I Airlines at Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in September of 2005 to fulfill his dream of being a Combat Infantry Soldier. Paul was always the life of the party and enjoyed in-line skating, skate boarding and hip-hop music. He was looking forward to coming home in March so that he could put words and music to the movies that he recorded in Iraq. He was 22.

We had a great 5.97 Mile walk today. We walked by Lake Holiday and then walked up to the War Memorial Park down town. What a beautiful day to walk. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 130 honks. Thank you.

Army PFC Paul Balint Jr. will not be forgotten !
