Our walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Army MSGT Bobby Joe Phipps, Age 63 of Crossville, TN.
Died Jan. 18, 2016
He was retired from the United States Army Special Forces and was a member of the American Legion and Special Forces Association.
He also had a great interest in woodworking.
Served in the Persian Gulf.
We had a great 6.41 Mile walk today. What a beautiful day for a great walk. Me met up with Bobby Phipps family and we headed out on our walk. We walked by Holiday Hills Lake and then we headed up towards town. We made a stop at the War memorial Park and read some names on the Memorial Wall . We got a chance to talk to several different people along the way. After stopping to get a photo of the flag at the bakery we then headed towards the house. I really enjoyed hearing about the stories about Army MSGT Bobby Joe Phipps. Was really nice to meet his family and have them walk with me today. We want to thank everyone that honked, waved, and saluted today in helping us honor this hero. We had 119 Honks. It was amazing. Thank you
