My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of Army PFC William Emanuel Baker was assigned to B Troop, 1st Squadron Armored Cavalry, USARV. His home town was Detroit, MI. He was KIA August 15, 1967 in Vietnam.
He was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
My walk this morning was amazing. I walked out the door and the sun was just coming up over the mountain and as I left the house I looked down towards the lake and the fog was rolling off the water just enough where you could just see parts of the water. I just happen to look up just in time to see an Eagle fly over. It was just amazing. I could not ask for a better day to pay tribute to Mr Baker.
We shall never forget you sir.
