Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army Veteran PFC Claude E Heath, Age 74 of Crossville, TN.
Died Dec. 14, 1998

Mr. Heath was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army’s 88th Division, and he was a member of the American Legion Post No. 134 of Crossville.

PFC Heath was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions to rescue a wounded comrade.

Mr Heath ran a restaurant at Tansi and worked at the Bledsoe State Prison in food services.

He is buried in the Lynhurst Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.

We had a great 9.93 Mile walk today. We walked Northside Drive to 127 and then walked up town to the War Memorial Park and then headed back on West Ave. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 272 honks today. Thank you.

Army Veteran PFC Claude E Heath will not be forgotten !
