My walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army Veteran Hubert Tollett, Age 67 of Crossville, TN.
July 16, 1988

He was in the European theater. He drove a tank. Was wounded in Holland. Was with the T.D.Company D 1944-45 took shrapnel to his knee. He was very proud to have served and extremely patriotic.

Yes he was born 12/4/21. Passed away 7/16/88 age 67 buried in Linary cemetery

His daughter still has her daddy’s telegrams he sent while in Europe and the telegraph when he was wounded. He also wrote poetry while in Europe.

Mr Hubert had 4 brothers and all 5 served. Him and 2 brothers all served at the same time in WWll

We had an amazing walk this morning. Hi daughter walked with us till we reached the war memorials down town where we met another family member. It was a great walk. After we left the war memorial park we went to the Crossville City Cemetery where we visited a few of our veterans who have passed away.

I want to thank everyone who honked and waved this morning in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.

He will not be forgotten !
