We had a great 5.44 Mile walk today. We headed out about 1pm and made a stop at the 9/11 Memorial before going to the SuperHero Party event put on by the Foster Adoptive Parent Association & Bikers Against Bullies at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds. It was great to get to visit with so many heroes. I thank each and every one of them for what they do for our community.
The Young Marines presented Colors and Jessica McCoy sang the National Anthem. We then learned about Agape Equine Outreach and we got to see their horses. It was a great demonstration. It was great talking and meeting with Toy’s for Tot’s , Cumberland County Sheriffs Dept., and several others. They even served us some great food. What an amazing event. Temp. was up in the 90’s when we headed back to the house. I want to thank the couple who dropped me a water off. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted. We had 180 honks today. Thank you. It was amazing.
Army SGT George Ralph Powell Jr will not be forgotten !
