He rotated stateside and spent the next two years as a Senior Drill Sergeant at Fort Belvoir Virginia. He received an Honorable Discharge.
He is buried in the Hyder Cemetery in Crossville, TN.
We had an amazing 8.86 Mile walk today in the snow. The sites and sounds of winter today was just amazing. We walked up town to the war memorial park and then continued on to the Hyder Cemetery out East 1st Street. It was beautiful. After we cleaned his Military headstone off we headed back towards town and we seen a lady out trying to clean her driveway. After talking to her we found out her name was Flo and she was 82. After I helped her clean her drive off we got a photo and headed back out. I could not ask for a more beautiful day to walk in. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.
Army Veteran SGT Issac Heaber Cross will not be forgotten !
