This morning my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran SPC Albred Carroll-Horton, Age 23
Passed away Aug. 31, 2017
Served in the Persian Gulf War
Lived in Clarksville, TN but was from Houston,TX
Sergeant Albred Carroll Horton, was a husband, father, son and Soldier. A Signal Support Systems Specialist with Alpha Company, 2-502 Infantry Regiment, Sergeant Carroll Horton served as the Communications Section Sergeant of the Headquarters Platoon.
Sergeant Carroll Horton deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from May 2016 to January 2017. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and Air Assault Badge.
Sergeant Carroll Horton is survived by his wife, two daughters and his mother and father.
Had a great walk. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero who we lost here at home after he had gotten back from war. He signed the dotted line to fight for our country and he did. He is a Hero and will not be forgotten.
