My walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army WWII Veteran Roy Presley Walker, Age 71 of Zephyrhills, Fl.
Died Oct. 11, 1996

He was born in Tampa, FL. Nov. 21, 1924

Mr Walker served in the Army as a parachutist and received a bronze star.
He jumped behind enemy lines in Southern France. He had particiapated in five campaigns: Italy, France, Belgium and Germany.

He married Juanita hamm and has five children. A carpenter by trade, he owned and operated a cabinet shop in Zephyrhills, FL.

We had a great 6.59 mile walk this morning. We walked downtown to the War Memorial Park and then we stopped by the City Cemetery to visit some of our Fallen Brothers and Sisters in Arms . I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping us honor this great hero.

Army WWII Veteran Roy Presley Walker will not be forgotten !
