Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Air Force Veteran Edward Donnelly, Age 90 of Crossville, TN.
Died Nov. 29, 2021
Ed served during the Korean war and after discharge served in the Tennessee National Guard. He loved nature and his farms.
We had a great 8.28 Mile walk. We headed west on Sparta Hwy and made a stop at his grave site. We placed a penny to let him know that a veteran has come to visit then we place an American flag to honor his service. We met his son Greg and his wife at the grave and visited for a short time before heading back east on Sparta Hwy. We then made a stop in at the DAV (Disabled American Veterans Office) for a Veterans breakfast. We got to talk with several veterans before heading out and headed up town to the War Memorial Park where we read a few tames on the Memorial Wall. We then headed back towards the house. We had an amazing walk. The weather was perfect. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluting in helping us honor this hero. We had 167 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you.
