This morning my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Marine Sgt. Robert L. Parsons, Age 21 of Crossville
KIA July 27, 1944 WWII
He was assigned to 22nd Marines, Company G
He was killed in action at Guam
Robert is buried at the Crossville City Cemetery
His name can be found at the war memorial downtown. Pillar VIII, Bottom Panel
We had an amazing 6 mile walk this morning. We stopped to look at his name up on the memorial wall downtown and then we walked to his grave in the city cemetery.
I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.
He will NOT be forgotten !
