My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC Johnny Andrew Lee, Age 19 of Crab Orchard
KIA May 10, 1967 Bien Hoa province, Vietnam
He was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division
Lee’s Tour began Jan. 9, 1967 in Vietnam.
Lee is buried at Haley’s Grove Cemetery in Crab Orchard, TN
PFC Lee is memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 19E, Line 83
Part of Hwy. 70 East in Crab Orchard was dedicated in his name. The sign reads “Johnny Lee Memorial Hwy”
PFC Lee was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign Medals
Had an amazing walk today. The mountain views were great. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will NOT be forgotten.
