Our walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Army PFC Billy Franklin Mooneyham, Age 23 of Pikeville, TN.
KIA Oct. 8, 1966 in Vietnam
Served with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. His tour in Vietnam began on Feb. 16, 1966.
He was awarded the purple heart.
He is buried in the Pikeville City Cemetery.
He is memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 11E, Line 62
We had a great 3.12 Mile walk. We participated in a 5k Ruck fundraiser in Pikeville, Tennessee put on by “The Lab” to help raise money for Omni Outreach.
What an amazing event. We had almost 60 people walking with us to honor his hero. It was a great honor to have such a great group of people. We walked to his grave to honor him. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank everyone who walked with us to help honor this hero. A great event , A great hero , we will have forget. Thank You !
