Today our walk was dedicated in honor of :
Army SGT Cody Lee Bowman, Age 25 of Fort Sam Houston,TX
Died Mar. 18, 2019
SGT Bowman enlisted in the Army in 2012 at the age of 18.
At the age of 23 he lost part of his hand in a training accident.
Cody was a loving son, husband, father
We had an amazing walk today. We walked 5.64 Miles. We walked with SGT Bowman during our yearly PTSD Walk. We started out with my son-n-law Brad saying a prayer and then my granddaughter Sadie led the Pledge of allegiance. After that we started the walk. It was great having family and friends and the CCHS Football team join us on this special walk. I want to thank my friend Robert and my brother Russ for coming out to walk with us today. Even my 2 year old great granddaughter came out to walk with us today. It really meant a lot to have my family and friends their. It was great to have my wife their at our event for the first time. The weather was perfect. The Football team and I ran the last lap. I made it but not use to running. Great job by all and this was something I will never forget.
