Our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC Brandon L. Buttry, Age 19 of Shenandoah, IA.
KIA Nov. 5, 2012 Operation Enduring Freedom
PFC Buttry was assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washinton.
He was 19 and so full of life. He wanted to follow the family foot steps to join the military. He love basketball, God and his family.
We had a great 9.19 Mile walk this morning. We walked to the 9/11 Memorial and then headed north on 127 and stopped at the I-40 overpass. We then headed back south and we stopped at the Walmart parking lot as we seen a truck that honored Veterans. We then headed back to the house. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. It was amazing. Thank You. We had 303 honks today.
Army PFC Brandon L. Buttry will not be forgotten !
