Today our ride was dedicated in honor of :

Marine Lance Cpl. Anthony E. Butterfield, Age 19 of Clovis, CA.
KIA Jul. 29, 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom

LCPL Butterfield was assigned to 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Ca.

He was killed while conductiong combat operations in Rawah, Iraq.

Our ride got cut short today. Just after 16.02 Miles our flag got wrapped up in our bike wheel. We ended up having to call someone to come pick us up. We did have a good morning to ride. We first made a stop at the 9/11 Memorial and then we rode to the Centennial park where we took a short break. We then headed out towards the Stone Memorial High Scheel and then we made a stop at the Crossville City Cemetery where we visited with a few of our brothers. We then headed up town to the War Memorial Park where we read some names on the Memorial Wall. We then rode to Holiday Hills and drove past the Play House. It was a beautiful ride. We then had to call someone to pick us up because of the flag in the wheel but we were able to get everything going once we made it home. We didn’t have any honks today. Will take time for people to realize that were on a bike sometimes also.

Marine Lance Cpl. Anthony E. Butterfield will not be forgotten !
