Our walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Army Veteran Charles L. Sherrill , Age 74 of Crossville, TN.
Died Dec. 27, 2021
He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He is buried in the Green Acres Memory Garden , Crossville, TN.
We had a great 12.59 Mile walk. We walked past the Crossville National Guard Armory and then we headed north on 127 and walked to his grave in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens. We then headed back towards Crossville and turned onto Northside Drive. As we were walking I could hear something in the distance. I walked a couple miles and could still hear this noise. I looked up and I could see thousands and thousands of dots in the sky. It was geese heading north. It was an amazing site to see thousands and thousands of geese. I have never seen them flying that high before. We then turned onto Sparta Hwy and then home. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 384 honks. It was amazing. Thank you.
