Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran PFC Spicer E. Hanson, Age 55 of Alderson, WV.
Died Jun. 25, 1949
Veteran of World War I
Veterinary Evacuation Section No. 1
American Exp. Forces, France
Mr Hanson enlistend into the Army July 26, 1918 at the age of 24.
He is buried in the Harrah Cemetery, Asbury, WV.
We had a great 5.90 Mile walk. We walked by Lake Holiday and then headed up town to the War Memorial Park and then headed back home. We ran into a little sleet and snow on the way but was a great walk. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero.
