Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:

Navy AM3 Landon Langford Anderson, Age 27 of Lakeland, FL.
Died Sep. 2, 2019

One of Lardons major accomplishments was when he joined the United States Navy. He completed basic training at Great Lakes, Chicago. He was selected as the Top Sailor Award Winner in his Basic class. This was out of over 800 recruits.
During his naval career, Landon traveled the world. To such destinations and Port of Calls such as Chile, Turkey, Brazil, Strait of Hormuz, Suez Canal, Egypt, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Peru, southern seas and the Mediterranean. Landon was assigned the VFA 147, Striker Fighter Squadron which attached to the different fleets. The planes that were normally attached were F18 jets. The carriers that he was deployed to were; The George Bush, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln and the Stennis.
Landon was known to have a big and caring heart for others. He had a compassionate heart towards helping other individuals which included helping a homeless man get home in a distant state by buying him a bus ticket home. Another time he spent a night with another homeless person on the street to protect him. Landon gave witness to the fact that he knew Jesus, the way, the truth and the life. His soul was assured to live in eternity in heaven. We will see him again.

It was an honor to walk with Navy AM3 Landon Langford Anderson 8.17 Miles today. We walked past Holiday Hills Lake and followed Holiday Hills Drive and then crossed over to Myrtle Ave. We then went west on 4th street and we took a new road that we have never walked before. We took Thompson Ln over to Stanley Street. We stopped to look at the Navy Blue Angels Jet at CCHS and then headed up town to the Veteran Memorial Park. After reading several names on the Memorial Wall we headed back north and turned back west at Flowers Bakery. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 121 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you.

Navy AM3 Landon Langford Anderson will not be forgotten !
