My walk this afternoon was dedicated in honor of:
Army SGT. Adam S Flanery, Age 27
Died July 9, 2015
He was a 2006 Graduate of Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, MN. Sgt. Flanery enlisted in the US Army in 2009 and served his country as an honorable soldier until his death in 2015.
He served in the Persian Gulf War and Afghanistan.
Adam graduated from Air Assault School June 17, 2011 one of only 84 out of 138 students who started. He then moved on to take the Warrior Leader course at Ft Drum in November of 2011 where he performed above course standards and was named to the Commandants list. Sgt Flanery served in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division, the Persian gulf and and Korea during his Army career.
We will not forget him.
Had a great walk this afternoon. I was able to honor this hero with a 6.02 mile walk. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. You all are amazing. Thank you.
